An apple a day
We all know the old saying, ‘An apple a day keeps the doctor away.’ And as some of us get older, we know it takes a lot more than an apple to keep us functioning at our peak.
That proverbial apple, it’s just a good way to illustrate preventative medicine. Preventive medicine is the absence of disease, either by preventing the occurrence or by halting a disease and averting resulting complications after its onset.
I’m a big believer in preventative medicine for the home. By stopping disease before it starts or halting it before complications arise, we’re able to save valuable time, costs and heartache.
Unfortunately, too often people buy a house and hope for the best – only calling in the experts after disease and rot have set in.
That’s why I’ve launched a handy home maintenance checklist to help you get familiar with your homes needs. Our checklist covers spring and fall ‘to dos’ and frankly in this city, fall is the most important time to make sure your home is ready for a Calgary winter. With storms, Chinooks and bizarre freeze thaw cycles, our climate is one of the hardest on a home.
Download the checklist on our website and if you are local to Calgary, book a complimentary home health checkup with me directly. Fall is the perfect time to walk you through the landmines of maintaining your home, preserving value and saving money.
Book an appointment for your complimentary home checkup on the website or email me at Alec@AlecWilliamsConstruction.ca. Let’s make sure your home is healthy this fall.
